Rev. Jane Lippert grew up in Manistee. She and her husband, Rev. Chris Lane, have two daughters, Hannah and Rachel. Jane has served as chaplain at Oregon State Hospital as well as organizing pastor of a United Methodist Church in Grand Rapids. After serving 6 years as the lead pastor of a UMC in Traverse City, she embarked on a Sabbatical year focusing on people who identify as “Spiritual but not Religious.” Her current position with Central United Methodist as coordinator of ministries with the homeless and impoverished is a direct result of that time of study and her belief that everyone deserves to be treated with respect and valued as a child of God.
