The annual Dutton Concert will be held this Saturday, July 9th at 7:30pm in the Meeting House featuring Pierce Emata on piano. The concert is free and open to the public.
Over the years, the CSA has hosted concerts from plenty of talented artists and musicians - and we’re beyond thrilled to welcome back renowned teacher, juror, and concert artist Pierce Emata to the roster. Emata is a Bluthner Concert artist with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance, and has coached under numerous international concert artists.
Though he currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada, he is known and recognized for his extraordinary skill nationwide, particularly in the West and Midwest. Internationally, he has performed and taught in India over multiple years and has recently expanded to Japan. He also hosts a popular radio commentary series called Concerts and Conversation that is broadcast over multiple NPR affiliate stations.
Currently, Emata is part of Interlochen Center for the Arts’ Summer Piano Faculty and provides private lessons and masterclasses.
His feats as a renowned artist are incredible, but his musicality and talent are the real highlights of his upcoming concert. His program features a variety of piano pieces suitable for CSA members and locals alike, and with skills internationally recognized, we’re certain that this is a concert you won’t want to miss.
