Presented by Joshua Wise and the Ecology Committee
Josh will be giving a 25-minute talk on the health of the CSA forest, what makes this forest special, the threats it's facing, including invasives like garlic mustard and Japanese knotweed, what he has observed in the field with Invasive Species Network, and what each of us can do as community members to help. Much of what he'll be sharing comes directly from conversations he has had with CSA members this summer. There will be time for discussion after his presentation,
Following the presentation, Josh will be leading a forest walk so we can see some of these issues up close, look at signs of invasive species, and talk through what responsible stewardship looks like on and around members' property.
No prior knowledge is needed. This is meant to be an accessible, community-oriented conversation.
