President’s 2010 Review

Aug 31st, 2010 | Category: President's Page
The summer of 2010 should be remembered as a “great weather” summer.  Unlike 2009, the beach days were plentiful throughout the C.S.A. season.  Everyone seemed to be taking advantage as the beach was frequently crowded and the waterfront staff was kept busy teaching and helping.  The boat area was piled with craft that were used regularly.  Many of us took frequent walks in the woods just to escape the unusually warm days.
The C.S.A. thrived despite the slumping economy.  Registration numbers were good and the events and activities were well attended.  The worship services, concerts, educational seminars and meetings were well attended by summer visitors and local people.
I am always impressed with the hard work of the C.S.A. staff and the many volunteers who keep the program going.  Many of our friends spend countless hours taking care of committee duties, volunteer labor, finance management, fundraising, and many other tasks. We need to express how much we appreciate their efforts.  Thank you all.
The program and activities went very well.  It is always difficult to list the outstanding things that occurred for fear of leaving out some great things.  The ecology committee program, the operettas, the wonderful worship services, the outstanding Gibson series, the Women’s Association activities, the work of the Board of Trustees, the operation of the Crystal View, and the services provided by the staff are only a few of the wonderful happenings. This summer was like all C.S.A. summers, wonderful people doing wonderful things.  Have a good winter and please come back to Crystal next summer.
